Vampires are among the most deadly of the undead, as well as one of the hardest to destroy. Though they are generally not as powerful as liches, vampires are extremely dangerous, as they are able to regenerate in combat as well as inflict powerful life-force draining injuries upon their enemies. Vampires do typically have notable vulnerabilities to both radiant attacks and natural sunlight which can make vampires easier to defeat — provided you can catch them unawares. In battle though vampires tend to be both physically strong and quick. Additionally, many vampires are fully capable in the arcane and divine arts which can make them even deadlier than normal. A vampire’s greatest defense; however, lies in its blood cauldron as the cauldron acts much the same way as the phylactery does for the lich in that a vampire can rarely be truly destroyed unless its blood cauldron is also destroyed. The one saving grace, if there is any, is that vampires maintain all of their intelligence, and most of their sanity, that they possessed prior to being turned, meaning that they can often be reasoned with when necessary.
